Scallop Shell & Zebra Stone Handmade Macrame Necklace 

Featuring black string with African Turquoise Jasper & Australian Mookaite accent beads 

Zebra Rock or Zebra Stone, is a distinctive reddish-brown & white-banded sedimentary rock unique to the east Kimberley of Western Australia.

Composed essentially of small particles of Quartz and ‘Sericite’, Zebra Rock also contains the minerals Kaolinite, Dickite and Alunite. 

It is from the Ranford formation which formed around 670 million years ago. The patterns of the stone likely formed due to minerals like iron oxide flowing through the stone with rainfall.  We bought this particular piece of Zebra Stone and then made it into this necklace!

 

- Adjustable -

A simple sliding lock makes the necklace adjustable to fit anyone and can be worn either as a choker or as a longer pendant

 

𓇼 All of our jewellery has been handmade by us using the micro macrame technique. This art style consists of making hundreds (and sometimes thousands!) of tiny knots that form a pattern creating a design

𓇼 The chain is made of 4 strings braided together

𓇼 The string we use is extremely durable; it’s made to last. The waxed material can be worn daily without any worries of discolouration or fraying. But it’s important to remember that macrame jewellery is only made from string! So it should be handled with care
